Kaiten-Zushi
“Kaiten-Zushi”… “belt-conveyor Sushi” or “Sushi go-round”.
(In Japanese “S” sound on the head of a word sometimes changes to “Z” or “J” when it’s connected to another word.)
Today I took my Granma to a Kaiten-Zushi restaurant in my hometown.

You can pick up your selections from the conveyor belt. If you can’t find your favorite Sushi there, you can order directly.

“Uni(sea urchin?)” is my favorite!

“Natto-Maki(Natto role)” is popular.

“Shime-Saba(marinated mackerel?)” is also my favorite.

The bill is calculated by counting the number and color of plates. So it’s a manner to devide them into each color.
Originally, Sushi is rather expensive. But if you go to Kaiten-Zushi, you can enjoy Sushi at reasonable prices.

This brings back sooooooo many nice memories. I use to go to this type of sushi bar in Osaka and Tokyo a lot. It’s cheap and fun. I love to watch the sushi floating past.
Thanks for the nice memories.
