Late Autumn

I’m from a small “kampung” in the center of Yamagata Prefecture. (”Kampung” means “village” in Malay/Indonesian. In Japanese, it’s “Furusato”.)
I was born and grew up here, surrounded by mountains and comfortable nature.

Autumn is passing by.

At the east end of Murayama city, there is a mountain named “Koshiki-dake”. (”Dake(Take)” is an old word that means “mountain”.) It’s not so high but has a beautiful shape. I’m very proud of it and it’s a symbol of “Kampungku”.

I came to a valley near Koshiki-dake.

Those poles are used to dry rice. They’ve finished their role and waiting for winter.

Small orange berries. I don’t know its name.

Forgotten persimmons… They’ve got too ripe.
They’ll be foods for wild birds during winter.
